- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Tomato Sauce
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp dried parsley flakes
- 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes optional

- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 0.25 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped optional
For Serving

Place ground beef in a bowl and season with salt and black pepper. Mix lightly to distribute seasoning evenly.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the beef and chopped onion. Cook until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess grease.
Transfer the cooked mixture to a food processor. Pulse briefly until texture is fine and smooth. Do not over-process.
Return the meat mixture to the skillet. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, parsley, red pepper flakes, Worcestershire sauce, and sugar. Stir well.
Bring the sauce to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally.
Add water and stir to adjust consistency.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
Stir in fresh basil just before serving for added aroma.
Serve over cooked spaghetti noodles and enjoy.
For a richer flavor, substitute half the ground beef with beef sausage (ensure it is halal if needed). Adjust sugar to balance acidity. Add water gradually if the sauce becomes too thick. This sauce freezes well for up to 6 months.
