Ingredients

  • 200 g dark chocolate at least 70% cocoa
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup almond flour
  • ½ cup sugar or preferred sweetener
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds for topping
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.

Melt the Chocolate:

  • In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave. Stir occasionally until smooth and set aside to cool slightly.

Prepare the Wet Ingredients:

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, orange juice, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Add the Chocolate:

  • Pour the melted chocolate into the wet mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
