Ingredients
  

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
  • 1-2 teaspoons sesame seeds optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

Prep the Chicken:

  • Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste. This will help enhance the flavor of the chicken.

Cook the Chicken:

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add 2 tablespoons of butter and let it melt. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Combine Honey and Soy Sauce:

  • Pour in the 3 tablespoons of honey and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce. Stir the mixture well to combine, allowing it to simmer and thicken slightly for about 3-4 minutes.

Glaze the Chicken:

  • Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the honey garlic sauce over them to coat. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Finish and Serve:

  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and drizzle the remaining sauce over the top. Optionally, sprinkle 1-2 teaspoons of sesame seeds over the chicken for extra flavor and crunch. Serve hot with your favorite sides!
